Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka made it clear in a recent interview that the franchise is ready to offer a new contract to 41-year-old LeBron James.
After the Lakers were swept 4-0 by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the playoffs, James played his final game under his current contract with the team.
Addressing the possibility of re-signing James, Pelinka stated, “We may have never seen a player who respects the game as much as he does. He has given so much to his teammates and this organization. The thing we want most is to reciprocate that respect, starting by giving him the time he needs to make his decision.”
