Kylian Mbappe has missed out on the Best French Player Playing Abroad award for the current season, with the French Football Federation instead selecting Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as the winner.
Olise clinched the Bundesliga title with Bayern this campaign, contributing an impressive 22 goals and 30 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain’s Desire Doue was named the Best Young French Player of the season.
This marks the first time since Mbappe’s breakthrough at Monaco that he has failed to collect any individual honor from the French federation.
Mbappe endured a trophy-less season with Real Madrid, losing out in La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Champions League. Over the course of the campaign, he played 41 matches for Real Madrid, scoring 41 goals and providing 6 assists.
