Darwin Núñez has reportedly reached an agreement with Al Hilal to terminate his contract this summer, paving the way for a return to Europe.
The 26-year-old former Liverpool striker joined the Saudi Pro League side last summer in a deal worth €53 million, but has struggled to make an impact. In 24 appearances across all competitions, Núñez has scored just nine goals and provided five assists.
Al Hilal recently left Núñez out of their squad for the Saudi league following the arrival of Karim Benzema. According to Uruguayan outlet El Observador, the player and the club have now agreed on his departure during the upcoming transfer window.
Juventus, AC Milan, and Chelsea have all been linked with the forward, making a return to European football a strong possibility.
